Serbian, Romanian army chiefs meet

VS Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Zdravko Ponos met his Romanian counterpart Admiral Gheorghe Marin in Belgrade on Tuesday. The two most senior officers of their countries' respective armed forces discussed promotion of military cooperation. Serbian, Romanian army chiefs meet Ponos and Marin also discussed experiences related to armed forces reforms and the current military and political situation in the region, the Serbian Defense Ministry said in a statement. According to this, the cooperation in the coming period will focus on training and joint exercises. During his visit to Serbia, Admiral Marin is scheduled to visit the VS Special Brigade of the 250th Anti-Aircraft Defense in Jakovo. The Serbia Army and the Armed Forces of Romania have traditionally good cooperation, and they have carried out more than 20 joint activities in Serbia and Romania over the past two years, the statement added.
