Đelić: Serbia to stop paying Kosovo’s debt

Although many have voiced concern that such announcements may be interpreted as Belgrade’s intention of giving Kosovo up, economist Milan Prokopijević says such fears are unfounded.

“We should have asked that the international administration in Kosovo and Metohija take on the servicing of debt right after they took over in the province,” Prokopojević believes.

However, Kosovo’s chamber of commerce and local economic experts believe Kosovo should only pay its debt if it is first included in the division of former Yugoslavia’s assets.
