Nectar granted HACCP certificate

Director Čeda Praška said he expected the company could now improve placement of its products with respect to foreign markets, particularly those in the European Union.

HACCP is a method that identifies, evaluates and controls hazards relevant for the safety of food products, as it determines the points in the production process where these hazards are effectively managed.

At the moment, Nectar is the only factory in the region that exercises control over the entire production process: from the growing and purchasing of fruit, sub-contracting with farmers and production of fruit concentrates and pulp, to the production of fruit juices, alcoholic beverages and jams.

The company has factories in Bačka Palanka, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Čačak, Niš and Vladičin Han, and employs over 550 workers.
