The Kraljevo police have arrested a man on suspicion of the shooting of police officer Cvetko Kostic. Just after midnight on Tuesday, Kostic, who was on duty at the Kosovska Mitrovica police department’s relocated headquarters in Kraljevo, was shot several times. Man arrested for shooting police officer The police officer had spotted an unidentified man stealing petrol from a car parked in the street he was patrolling and had gone to investigate, when the assailant shot him in the stomach. Chief of Police Milorad Veljovic visited Kostic yesterday, who is recovering in Kraljevo hospital from his wounds. The police officer, who received bullet wounds to the ribs and stomach damaging several internal organs, underwent surgery yesterday.
