Hard currency reserves EUR 9.7bn
Foreign currency reserves of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) increased by EUR 192.1mn in September to reach EUR 9.69bn.

Foreign currency reserves of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) increased by EUR 192.1mn in September to reach EUR 9.69bn. The central bank announced on Saturday that in U.S. dollars, the hard currency reserves amounted to 13.94bn, which secures 331 percent coverage of the money mass. Hard currency reserves EUR 9.7bn Along with the banks' reserves, which were EUR 642.5mn on the last day of September, the total hard currency reserves of the country reached EUR 10.3bnm, or USD 14.bn. Positive inter-currency changes resulting from the weakening of the euro against the dollar, as well as growth of the market value of foreign securities, worth a total of EUR 110.2mn, significantly contributed to the increase of the NBS reserves, the bank said in a statement.

Along with the banks' reserves, which were EUR 642.5mn on the last day of September, the total hard currency reserves of the country reached EUR 10.3bnm, or USD 14.bn.Positive inter-currency changes resulting from the weakening of the euro against the dollar, as well as growth of the market value of foreign securities, worth a total of EUR 110.2mn, significantly contributed to the increase of the NBS reserves, the bank said in a statement.
