Deputy PM Mlađan Dinkić has stated in Washington on Friday that the World Bank will invest significant funds in the Corridor 10 construction in Serbia.

Deputy PM Mladjan Dinkic has stated in Washington on Friday that the World Bank will invest significant funds in the Corridor 10 construction in Serbia. "The total amount that we negotiated is USD 600mn. We expect the World Bank board of directors to approve USD 400mn by the end of this year, while the rest of the money would be secured in the coming period," he said after a meeting with the WB Managing Director Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. Dinkic: USD 600mn for Corridor 10 Dinkic explained that the World Bank is interested in financing the Nis-Dimitrovgrad stretch, and that its technical mission will travel to Belgrade next week, in order to discuss the details of the loan arrangement. According to Dinkic, the 30-year loan would be under "the most favorable possible conditions in the market", with a five-year grace period and an annual interest rate of 3.5 percent. While in Washington, Dinkic also met with International Monetary Fund (IMF) officials.

Dinkić explained that the World Bank is interested in financing the Niš-Dimitrovgrad stretch, and that its technical mission will travel to Belgrade next week, in order to discuss the details of the loan arrangement.

According to Dinkić, the 30-year loan would be under "the most favorable possible conditions in the market", with a five-year grace period and an annual interest rate of 3.5 percent.

While in Washington, Dinkić also met with International Monetary Fund (IMF) officials.
