A proposal will be sent to the government in a fortnight to lower the road toll duty paid by foreign trailer trucks. The request comes from the public enterprise in charge of Serbia's roads, JP Putevi Srbije. Foreign trailer trucks could pay lower tolls The proposed reduction of the charge is ten eurocents per kilometer, the company's General Director Zoran Drobnjak said. The current price of 32 eurocents per kilometer is seven to eight times higher than in the neighboring countries such as Croatia, he explained. What is lost with the price will be made up for with increased traffic, Drobnjak told Beta news agency. The Putevi Srbije chief also announced a forthcoming detailed analysis of the market, and an increase in the price of some tolls, that are currently lower than in the region, including those paid by van, bus and three-axis truck drivers.
