Gazprom expects a contract giving them a controlling stake in NIS to be signed by the end of the summer, says the company’s deputy CEO Boris Zilbermints. According to Russian news agency Itar-Tass, under the current arrangement, the deal should come into effect by the end of the year. Gazprom: NIS acquisition by end of summer "Gazprom is to pay EUR 400mn for a 51 percent holding in the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS), and to invest at least EUR 500mn. The precise figure to be invested needs to be determined now that we have established programs linked to that, and we need to conclude the price and the contract with Serbian officials,” Zilbermints explained, speaking in Paris.
