Attack on the U.S. Embassy

The United States Embassy in Riyadh was hit by two drones, and a fire broke out in the diplomatic compound, but no casualties have been reported so far, the Saudi Ministry of Defense said.

Reports indicate that only minor material damage occurred. According to Reuters, black smoke was seen rising above the Diplomatic Quarter, while witnesses reported a loud explosion and flames.

Saudi authorities and one source stated that the fire was small in scale. The embassy building was empty at the time of the attack, and no casualties were reported, Al Jazeera reported.
