Thirty people were arrested at protests in Toulouse, Brest and Marseille, according to a French police report published at 8 a.m.

The police also reported about forty blockades across the country, reports BFM TV.

Footage posted on social media shows police in riot gear breaking through roadblocks and firing rubber bullets at protesters.

The gatherings began in the early hours of the morning, and already in the first moments there was a conflict with the police, who, judging by the videos, had no mercy towards the gathered.

By the way, in France, 250 rallies on the occasion of the Social Mobilization Day have been announced for today, and between 600,000 and 900,000 demonstrators are expected across the country, according to French media.

According to the estimates of the French Ministry of the Interior, between 50,000 and 100,000 people are expected to protest in Paris today, reports BFM TV.

Unions have announced a massive turnout of educators, students, transport workers, taxi drivers and industry workers, while nearly 80,000 police officers will be deployed to ensure public order and prevent riots.

French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau early this morning reported "attempted roadblocks" in the Paris region, particularly the bus depots in Aubervilliers and Saint-Denis.

Public transport disruptions were reported in several major cities across the country, including Lyon (tram, bus), Marseille (bus), Lille (metro, tram, bus), Toulouse (metro, bus), Bordeaux (tram, bus), Nantes (tram, bus) and Strasbourg (tram, bus), according to BFM TV.

Retailleau had earlier sent a telegram to prefects across France outlining guidelines and objectives for ensuring public order during the upcoming protests.

He specifically warned of potential threats from ultra-leftist groups that could try to infiltrate official demonstrations, stressing that there is a "significant risk of disrupting public order."
