Explosions heard in Paris PHOTO/VIDEO

Witnesses reported hearing three explosions across from the “Hôtel de Matignon,” the official residence of the French Prime Minister. The fire occurred at a time when Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu was scheduled to hold meetings following his resignation, Mirror reports.

Witnesses shared footage of the aftermath of the explosion on social media. One video shows smoke billowing from a van belonging to a French public lighting company.

Local media report that the Paris fire department said the blaze was contained to the van and did not spread to other buildings. Fire trucks rushed to the scene, and it was reportedly carrying gas canisters.
