"Around five in the morning, I heard crackling. At first we thought that someone put up a fight, but my boyfriend went out into the hallway and then we saw that it was a fire. It was burning at an abnormal speed. We immediately called the fire department," said the resident of the building to Telegraf.rs.

As she pointed out, the battery of the electric scooter that was in the apartment of their neighbors exploded.

The fire spread, so their door was completely burnt.

"Both we and the neighbors in whose apartment the fire broke out ran out through the terrace, we couldn't escape the fire through the corridor. The inspector said that it was lucky that there were no children in the apartment and that they managed to get out before the fire engulfed the entire apartment," she added.

The mother of the injured baby, a foreign citizen, told Telegraf.rs that the baby, after a medical examination, is fine and that everything is fine with her.
