Interpol rejected BiH's request: the international warrant for Dodik and Stevandić will not be issued
Interpol rejected the request of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to issue a red warrant for the President of the Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik and the Speaker of the National Assembly of the RS Nenad Stevandić, as Dodik announced today.

"President (of Serbia Aleksandar) Vučić just called me to inform me that he received a notification from the Directorate of Interpol that Serbia's appeal was accepted and that Interpol rejected the request of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to issue a red warrant for Stevandić and me," Dodik wrote on his account on the X network.
He thanked Vučić, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, as well as the presidents of all the other countries that sent the complaint.
Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic stated yesterday that the request for international warrants for Dodik and Stevandić was in the "preliminary review" of the Working Group for International Warrants and Diffusion (NDTF) at Interpol, which checks compliance with the organization's statute and rules, and pointed out that Serbia's involvement in that process resulted in preventing the warrants from becoming enforceable, thus ensuring, as he said, the safety and protection of its citizens.
On February 26, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sentenced Milorad Dodik to one year in prison and a six-year ban on holding public positions for ignoring the decisions of the High Representative for BiH Christian Schmidt, and a day later the Court confirmed that an order had been issued to the Sarajevo Interpol Office to issue an international warrant for Dodik and Stevandić.
