Dodik: Serbia has done the most for Republika Srpska during Vučić's presidency

Serbia has done the most for Republika Srpska during the presidency of Aleksandar Vučić, Milorad Dodik, president of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), said today.

During a visit to Janjske Otoke with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Dodik thanked Vučić for his visit and said he was pleased that they were in Šipovo, in Republika Srpska, and that they would also visit parts of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina where Serbs live.

He pointed out that Serbia has done the most for Republika Srpska during Vučić's time in office, RTRS reported.

"Until then, we only had fraternal embraces and occasional kisses, but very little else. We were humiliated when many Serbian officials, in order to come to Banja Luka, first had to go to Sarajevo and bow to certain institutions there before they could come to Banja Luka. Today, that is different and completely normal. It was not normal before; now it is completely normal," Dodik said.

He recalled that in the past, citizens of Republika Srpska who went to Serbia for medical treatment had the status of foreigners, and that students also had the status of foreigners.

"When Vučić learned about this, he abolished it. Today, our people have the same privileges as citizens of Serbia. In other words, we are all Serbs; there are no 'Bosnian' or other distinctions among us," Dodik said.
