Munich Conference
This year’s conference is attended by more than 1,000 participants from over 115 countries, including 60 heads of state and government, 100 foreign ministers, and representatives of major international organizations, among them the heads of the EU, NATO, ASEAN, OSCE, the World Bank, the World Trade Organization, and numerous UN agencies.
Led by Chairman Wolfgang Ischinger, the Munich Security Conference over the next three days becomes a venue where hundreds of decision-makers and opinion leaders from different regions of the world will discuss security policy challenges.
For years, the Munich Security Conference has been one of the key platforms for exchanging views on global security, but this year’s gathering takes place against the backdrop of visible cracks in transatlantic relations.
With long-standing alliances called into question, an international order based on rules eroding, and growing instability escalating conflicts worldwide, this year’s Munich Security Conference is being held at a fundamental turning point.
Topics at MSC 2026 will include European security and defense, the future of transatlantic relations, revitalization of multilateralism, competing visions of the global order, regional conflicts, and the security implications of technological advances.
