Vučić: A hard day for Serbia, it hasn't happened in the last 35 years; I demand criminal-legal responsibility

"Today is a difficult day for Serbia and every normal citizen of Serbia. This has not happened since the establishment of multi-party system in the last 35 years," said Vučić at the beginning of his address.

Speaking about the injured MPs, Vučić said that it was bullying and hooliganism.

"I demand criminal legal responsibility, we will not rest until those who did this are held accountable. We are waiting to see what the prosecution will do. We will not rest until the people who did this are punished," said Vučić.

He announced the good news, which is that Sonja Ilić from Gračanica, who is 8 months pregnant, is fine, as well as that the baby is fine.

When asked how it was possible that the opposition MPs brought in smoke bombs, he said that they did it fraudulently, because now they are made of cardboard and plastic.

"They brought them in their underwear," the president revealed.

He added that today, for the first time, blockades against blockaders took place in Senta.

"That bully who caused serious bodily harm to someone who was not guilty of anything except holding a stand, was not detained, by the decision of the yellow party judges, the reform of 2009 set, even though the prosecutor asked for detention. Today people rioted, 500 people were in Senta, there were never so many there. The anger and rage of the people has changed sides. I only ask people to be calm. They are lulled into their own lies, through their media. Not a single second in the 60 surrounding streets, not a single second was more than 33 thousand, and only in that second in all 60 streets," said Vučić.

He thanks all MPs, ministers and Ana Brnabić who behaved honorably today.

According to his words, the people do not want violence, but stability and peace.

He pointed out that it must not happen to us that we respond to them in such a way.

"They don't want dialogue. They said - the demands have not been met. Ask them why, they don't even know. Because they hope for a revolution. Believe it or not, even though they broke the law countless times and behaved illegally, there are more responsible students than those professors, let alone those in the Assembly. We must not respond with violence or demonstrations," Vučić said.

Let us remind you that today's session of the Serbian Parliament has ended, and members of the Criminal Police Directorate will conduct an investigation after three female MPs were injured when opposition MPs threw smoke bombs, eggs, caused a fight and lit torches during the session.

Speaking about the meeting in Belgrade, Vučić stated that it will take place in April.

"Our strength is so great, that it is one big, fast and strong river that no one can stop. From March 15, we start forming the movement and then we start receiving ideas on how to name it, until then, it will have a working name. The first assembly will be for Vidovdan. That movement should show the difference between normal and decent Serbia and what they have shown today," Vučić points out.
