They also discussed the possibility of holding a trilateral meeting on the level of presidents and prime ministers, said a statement issued by the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dacic pointed out that one of the objectives of this trilateral format is regional stability, adding that in this respect the government wants and is building good relations with Bosnia-Herzegovina.

He pointed out that all three states should develop cooperation based on joint interests, especially in the fields of economy and defining projects of regional importance.

The ministers also discussed other issues, such as the fight against terrorism and the issue of migrants.

Dacic also met in New York with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Fiji Ratu Inoke Kubuabola.

They both expressed a desire to improve bilateral relations through strengthening of the political dialogue and Dacic was invited to visit Fiji.

Although two years ago Fiji recognized Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence, the Serbian minister called for Fiji's understanding and support for Serbia's opposition to Kosovo's UNESCO admission.
