Albania trying to prevent extradition of Morina from Croatia
Morina is currently in jail in Croatia on a Serbian warrant - while the meeting in Tirana came one day after the Croatian court rejected his appeal, RTS reported late on Wednesday, citing to the Albanian daily Shekulli.Meta told the Croatian ambassador that he "doubts that Morina will have an objective and fair trial in Serbia" - while the report said the meeting was Tirana's "first move" after the decision of the Croatian Supreme Court.
It is also reported that the Albanian president said there were "fears about the safety of Morina" in a Serbian jail - a concern that Serbia's justice minister dismissed as unfounded on Wednesday.
