The media in Slovenia said that Kozelj last week attempted to steal a scarf from a Peek & Cloppenburg store.

The police were called to the scene at the time, and now the shopping mall is insisting on filing criminal charges against the prosecutor.

The Slovenian State Prosecution in Ljubljana in the meantime confirmed that they had been informed that the district prosecutor in Maribor was facing theft-related criminal charges.

For that reason, it was announced, a prosecutor was assigned to "consider the conditions for introducing a possible disciplinary procedure" against Kozelj.
