Kosovo brothers planned new attack; Berlin attacker is dead

The suspects are two brothers aged 28 and 31 "and originally from Kosovo," AFP reported, quoting the German police.

An investigation continues into whether more people were involved.

The arrest comes only days after a jihadi drove a truck into a Christmas market in Berlin, killing 12 people.

Also on Friday, the Italian police announced that they shot and killed Anis Amri, the 24-year-old Tunisian man suspected of carrying out the Berlin attack.

The Italian police said Amri was stopped in Milan and started shooting at the officers who asked him to show his ID. The suspect was then killed in the exchange of fire.
