Around 200 former KLA members waited for the decision in front of the court in Priština. They were chanting the names of war crimes suspects and “KLA”.

A competent police would have used this unique chance to arrest that whole bunch of criminals if they make it so easy and gather at one place.

Maybe not such a great idea to recruit KPS police officers from former KLA freedom fighters?

Unfortunately, they didn't kill only 'KLA members', but Serbian army looted and destroyed whole villages and killed 100s of other civilians as collateral damage.

In this case we do not have half of the world chasing these people while the Serb government shelters them in army barracks pays them pension and allows them to dance freely at weddings in the center of Belgrade. This is how the Serb government sheltered those who were later found guilty of war crimes. Your heros were a bunch of cowards who feared facing the world for their deeds.
By contrast whatever these people may have or not have done they chose not to hide but face justice.

If what you say in the first half were true, what is the reason for revoking the autonomy of Vojvodina at the same time. It was merely an excuse to control their votes to gain control over Yugo instead of just Serbia.
And if you are going to try and sell the idea that a life of mass executions, torture, rape, and unbearable brutality is better than the Albanians life today, don't begin a life as a salesman because you do a very poor job at it.

Jail time? In Kosovo? Well, if you 'look suspicious' or commit serious crimes like wearing a T-shirt with Cyrillic letters on it or use Serbian flags, then be sure to be arrested, and, if you are very fortunate, you are even tortured and beaten in prison by the KPS freedom.. eh.. police officers.

As someone who has worked in Kosovo for sometime since 2001 I have an outsiders perspective of this.

Milosevic lost the right to govern in Kosovo by the actions of himself using it as a crutch. He unleashed paramilitaries who committed atrocities - who were different from the military. Milosevic didn't ever seek consensus with the Albanians.

What we have now is a mixture of criminals and war criminals in power who are as corrupt as I see in Afghanistan. They do nothing for the Albanians. Thaci is a Albanian mobster that never fought and Haridinaj killed more Albanians than he ever did Serbs - the coward that he is. But unfortunately Kosovo is full of uneducated illiterate Kantunards who vote these scum in.

Finally America and Europe have done a disservice to Kosovo people in general.
