I think that Businesspeople want Governments that will create jobs, because the more pay packets there are, the greater their profits will be.

To have better Democracy, I think that every Registered and trading Business in Serbia should be taxed monthly at a very small percentage of the Market Value of their Assets and Profits with that Money kept in Trust for the Election Campaigns of those Political Parties who have Seats in Parliament.

Exemption from this tax would be for those who are not trading, and better Democracy makes the Government Perform better, and this should be of financial benefit to Businesses, because with a stronger Economy, they will have more Business that will easily offset the very small Election Tax they pay.

The Money would be distributed to the Political Parties on their share of the Votes they received at the previous Election.

Furthermore, for one month before the Election, the Serbian Media must give Free Time, according to the percentage Votes that each Political Party received at the previous Election, and do this as part of their Licensing Arrangement, because genuine competition makes for better Government, and a stronger Economy.

I think that this will help prevent Monopolies and Political Corruption that affects most Businesses.

It should be that with a stronger Economy, then some Business taxes can be reduced, even though there is an Election Tax on Businesses.

For those who do not Respect the Serbian Constriction or United Nations Security Council Resolution that gives ownership of Kosovo to Serbia, then they cannot see a Foreign NATO Army in Serbia, because they do not consider Kosovo to be part of Serbia.

However, to pretend that they do not know that it began in 1999, shows that they are not Subtle with their Disinformation, or Perhaps they have some other reason that would explain it.

Tadic trying to make excuses through self-victimization. Sorry Tadic but URS, SNS, DS, DSS, LDP and SPS all received money from monopolies. The only ones that didnt are the radicals because after Nikolic's formation of the SNS eviscerated them the tycoons saw no point to support them.

But honestly this is an assumption that the tycoons are a collective. From what I've seen there are some who support all but some support specific parties.

Anyways Miskovic has been on extend to all the parties at one point or another; with multiples ones at time. But if Tadic is serious about tycoons he should look at the man from his party whose mayor of Belgrade - big tycoon.

Anyways. I like how he says all but the last 4 years there was a relationship with tycoons. I wonder if this is Tadic admitting that the venerated Djidjic was corrupt or is he saying that there was a conspiracy by tycoons and the opposition to destroy the economy during his reign?

I believe it's the latter. Sounds like a bunch of narcissistic self-victimization from the head of a party that's ruined the state.

Zoran I'm supposed to believe your theories about Serbia being occupied, when you won't say by whom or when it begun? You have to come up with a bit more than that, don't know how you can't understand this.

OK so you are asking me if I know why unnamed occupiers want a grand government formed? First who are they? Are they all around us and can only be seen by special people?

You were suggesting what? That there would be repeat elections? I don't remember that. Yes a SNS/DS deal is not likely, I have written here saying it was possible.

And I suppose the tycoons were the only ones who voted against him? Methinks he should hold up a mirror and look into it first.

Will be watching very closely on this if the prospective gvt ever forms and so will the Serbian media.

For an apparent "insider" you seems to be very uninformed about certain matters in politics. I mean, I was suggesting this well before elections and you with your analytical nonsense kept saying it wouldn't happen. That is why you are academic and I'm surprised because you are apparently in the know and I'm just an average Joe Blo outsider.

You discard things way too easily, either by lack of evidence or calling them conspiracy theories. You disregard the forces at play and their agendas. I mean, do you even know why the occupiers want this grand government formed?

Personally, I hope it doesn't happen but lets wait and see how this evolves. As mentioned, Dacic will need much more mud thrown at him to convince the Serbian people that an SNS/DS government is a good idea. Now every day we see more and more thrown. Tadic did a poor job today but his supporters will nonetheless accept it.

The truth is that DS has put the final nail in the coffin of the Serbian economy. The citizens were being nourished with ‘’sugar-coating stories through state-run television and radio stations which followed the pro-governmental line. The Shengen visa and the agreements with EU are unimportant for the majority of the citizens . It is the living standard that matters. Tadic exerted his power by downgrading and sidestepping the most crucial issues. Now , instead of cleaning and party reshuffle, Tadic is to resign or to be removed from the head of the party instead of looking for scapegoats. Another successful member of the party should take responsibility and rise to the occasion. Otherwise, the mess in the party will help pave the way for the rivals in the future election.

In short, Tadić "We used to be corrupt but now we are not. The corruptors now support other parties. We are whiter than white".

Is this a press release for Brussels and Washington? Nobody at home is fooled by this?

Tadic is a bit slow in stating the obvious, however, he is not truthful either.

It is a fact that tycoons financially support SNS, G17 and SPS. Miskovic, Karic and Beko are just 3 of them, but there are many others.
However, its a bit late now for Tadic to try to assume the principled role of pointing out the dangers of rich businessmen running the country, when his party accepted money from some of those businessmen in the past.

What tends to happen in cases like these is not some realisation by a party leader of morality or obligation towards people. It may start on a small level like a media story (Port of Belgrade) encouraging public pressure upon government. Said government feels obliged to react and the relationship between government and said monopolist(s) becomes more distant. In the meantime said monopolists help to found / fund another party that is increasing in popularity and withdraws financial support for said governing parties. There is an election and said monopolists open their cash coffers to support opposition parties (URS,SPS,SNS).

Then former PM begins to make public statements about how other parties are run by monopolists (true) but develops a bit of amnesia about the power of monopolists over his own government...

Will be watching very closely on this if the prospective gvt ever forms and so will the Serbian media.

Another round of mud throwing at the SNS/SPS government. So what are the options? A government influenced by Serbian tycoons or a government dictated by foreign governments (i.e. the occupiers). What a great choice we have.

How about a government for the Serbian people without meddling, such as SNS/SPS/DSS?

Anyway, Tadic has some fairly weak excuses. He was trying to be the president, prime minister and leader of the DS all in one. He made a complete mess of Serbia and now he wants back in the government?

Yes, that's what some powerful foreign governments (i.e. the occupiers) want. Kostunica and Dacic are not so easily controlled. Tadic and Nikolic have already made their deals.
