Funny how KFOR mentions resolution 1244 and that it should be respected. How about removing those albanian custom officials to start with. I don't remember resolution 1244 giving albanians the right to partition serbs in Kosovo from Serbia.

Of course not. Indeed the customs officials are not partitioning serbs in Kosovo from Serbia (the barricades of some people are doing that). the customs officials are implementing UNMIK's decision of 1999 to collect customs taxes and all inhabitants of Kosovo support UNMIK and resolution 1244.

You are absolutely correct Peter Maher.

Would a japanese style military 'camp bondsteel' running 5000 men be allowed in China or Korea?

Well if we had the economic & military power it would not be tolerated. But until then there is noone to stop them.

Germany and Austria have no shame; their troops are in Serb lands again, as in 1914-1918, 1941-45, Go home, Fritz. Would japanese troops be tolerated today in China or Korea?

I don't remember resolution 1244 giving albanians the right to partition serbs in Kosovo from Serbia. That is the core of the problem, not the freedom of movement for KFOR and EULEX. However, the way the EU is avoiding the main reason for the problems the roadblocks will stay.

When asked why the NATO troops used tear gas against a crowd of protesters on Thursday, Drews responded that there were "documents proving that both sides used it".

It's not about sides, sides suggests division, suggests conflict. Let me remind the good German General, he is supposed to be in charge of a 'neutral', 'peacekeeping force' and the people he considers the other 'side' are peaceful civilian protesters. Peaceful civilian protest should not be met with rubber bullets, water canon, and tear gas, which are only to be justifiably used in a riot.

Try and remember that you are pretending to be neutral General.

Drews claimed that he would "prefer a peaceful solution, through talks", but if that cannot happen, he says he will "use any means at his disposal".

Oh Mr. Drews. The heart of the Serbian people is unlike anything you have ever had to deal with. "Any mean at your disposal"...well we all know what that means. I strongly believe that you do not have the balls to carry out another massacre like the Nazi's; you still have a clean (false) image to protect. You won't expose your real self.

70 years ago German soldiers committed a terrible war crime in Kragujevac killing school kids among other civilians . Will German soldiers do the same now in Kosovo ?
