Show me where the US or EU economies have helped an independent Kosovo so far. After 12 years nothing at all. The only avenue open for the US or EU is to continually give aid to that region for ever.
What the EU is looking towards having industry established in Serbia with the idea of these industries being open to employment to Albanians or perhaps opening up branches in Kosovo. If Kosovo was next to Germany that’s exactly what would have happened. If you and your fellow Albanians don’t get it then here it is – the EU does not want a region on its hands that requires aid to the level Kosovo is now receiving for the next 50 years.
There is an old joke amongst financiers and it goes “business is business”. If you don’t understand it let me know I’ll explain it to you further.

The reality of Kosovo is that it cannot survive without Serbia and that is the reason for the talks and some Albanians see this as a prelude to reintegration ands to some extent that’s true. Like it or not it will be reintegrated.

What a poor commernt. So the only way for Kosovo to survive economicaly is to be under Serbia ?? Do you think we are stupid or what ??

Eu and US cannot help the economy of Kosovo but Serbia can ? Serbia seem to you a worldpower or somthing I guess.

You couldent take Kosovo by force and you have lost your so called ''diplomatic battle'' to get Kosovo. Now you think you can fool albanians by making them belive that they will starve to death if they dont accept serbian rule??

Stop being pathetic boys!!

I honestly don't know what is wrong with the Albanians. Is recognition by Serbia the most important issue or to fight corruption, unemployment, crime etc? Serbia will NEVER recognize Kosovo, NEVER! The question is what agreement can be reached based on the fact that Serbia won't recognize and that Albanians won't give up their claims of recognition. Agree to dissagre! Deal with everyday issues like crime, freedom of movement, attacks on minorities etc. If the Albanians continue to put Serbian recognition ahead of more important issues then that says a lot about the kind of people we Serbs are dealing with.
(MikeC, 13 May 2011 19:40)

The problem is that some smell a sellout to the Serbs that’s why they are behaving in this way.
What the Albanian contributors to this forum cannot get through their heads are the real facts on the ground such as how will Kosovo survive as an independent entity? How can unemployment of close to 85% be reduced when after 12 years of so called independence not even a store has been opened up by the western powers.
It’s almost impossible to get them to understand that the west has run out of money and Kosovo is a problem put on the “back burner” while they deal with more pressing items such as their own survival. Have a good look at what has just happened in Bosnia – RS has got what it wants by a threat of a referendum, not on separation but cancelling the High Representative’s powers. 10 years ago this would have been unthinkable.
The reality of Kosovo is that it cannot survive without Serbia and that is the reason for the talks and some Albanians see this as a prelude to reintegration ands to some extent that’s true. Like it or not it will be reintegrated.

These so-called negotiations must stop immediately, once Albin Kurti takes over that's it I guess. Hashim will end up just like Saddam Hussein in Iraq. It's 11-12 yrs ago since even babies in cradles were killed by serbian killers and he wants dialog with them?. I guess some people do anything to keep their undeserved seat.

Albin Kurti along with most of his followers is nothing but a street bum, and they feed in anarchy.I am ashamed to see VV ("self determination") seatting in Kosova Parlament. I am begining to think that he is being funded by Belgrade.

"Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci has stated that Stefanovic’s visit to Priština is a beginning of new relations that are headed toward recognition of Kosovo as an independent state.........What an ignorant buffoon.

He should stick to what he knows best, running his heroin business, and over seeing organ-harvesting from kidnapped innocents. I would be ashamed to have a thug like this KLA criminal represent me in anything. Surely Albanians must have an educated person to speak for them, don't they?

There's no doubt that the balance of power is shifting in the Kosmet dispute. Despite what the fantasists might dream, it's nothing to do with "RUS", whose power barely stretches 100 km from its border. No, it's because Europe is getting increasingly bored with the posturing, duplicity and childlike empty threats of its "youngest state" and wants some order restored. Mark my words, you will see the US become increasingly isolated on this one, and the US has many more serious problems to attend to elsewhere.

You've had your chance and blown it, Albos, just like anyone who knows you always knew you would.

Touchy... will very likely be sitting behind bars, when Serbs and Albanians set aside their problems.

...but to publicly say that Mr.Stefanovic´s visit was a step towards " recognition " ...is hilarious!

what do you dream at night, actually?
