Great! Kek advises not to pay the bill?
This is a great example for the Kosovoarians. If the Serbs are not allowed paying bills, why the Albanian have to do it?

Offer good service and you will win the competition.

Within European Union, you want to be member, the libaralization of the power markes is already fact.

Let's see if I've got this straight..

First the albanians shoot themselves in the foot when pristina tells KEK to cut off ALL power to the serb dominated north, including to hospitals etc - citing as an excuse the non-payment of bills...

Then when the serbian generator EPS steps in to fill the vacumn, KEK 'urges' the serbs not to pay their bills to EPS - citing as a reason KEK's supposed monopoly on being the only 'licensed' providor - at least in the eyes of the authorities in 'pristina' that the serbs in the north refuse to recognise....

Wow.

Seems to me someone should replace the blown fuses between the ear's of KEK's administration as there appears to be nothing but empty space there right now.

KOSOVARi:
> PS, don't talk smack about KEK randomly cutting people's power,..

Nothing random about it. Targetting serb areas in a bid to force serb's to accept 'pristina's authority is nothing short of criminal.

> ...those people didn't pay a single dime for over a decade while the average tax payer had to carry KEK's massive deficit.

KEK is one of the most corrupt institutions in the whole of Kosovo so small wonder it's a basket case. And note that this is the opinion of albanians & not just serbs.

Oh, & presume you're talking about the US & EU taxpayers who subsidise Kosovo's economy. Only other alternative is an endangered species.

Eliott:
> CUT THEIR SUPPLY, u lot,,leave em in dark, and send a bill to Belgrade for what serbs owns to the KEK. simple as that.

Gee genius, should apply for a position on KEK's board as would make even them look good.

But nice of you to acknowledge 'belgrade's sovereignty over the serbs in Kosovo.

-- Telekom Srbija exists in Gracanica too. I had perfect mobile connection in northern Kosovo without any roaming. The connection died between Albanian Mitrovica and Pristina, but picked up again like normal once I reached Gracanica.

KEK is the only licensed energy provider in Kosovo. EPS is operating illegally. Might I remind you that less than 10% of their consumers in northern Kosovo are paying the "bill". The bill has been reported by Kosovar minority that it does not even look official, no real logo, not itinerary, etc?

PS, don't talk smack about KEK randomly cutting people's power, those people didn't pay a single dime for over a decade while the average tax payer had to carry KEK's massive deficit.

You need to worry about your own Albanian institutions, do not fret about Serbian ones. People are paying their bills - much to KEK's dismay.

As for power cuts, we are not talking about power service being suspended due to failure to pay. There are DAILY power outages all over KEK's area, sometimes one hour, sometimes two. That is pathetic and that is why there needs to be competition for power service. EPS does not have these outages daily, so EPS provides better service. Simple.

The Albanians in Kosovo are unbelievable. First, they cut power to Serb communities at will, when they were sole energy provider. Now, after Serbia steps in help its citizens and provide dependable service, they get their undies in a bunch. The funniest part is, they have the nerve to call someone illegal. Their entire little make-believe country is illegal. I would advise the Albaniacs to stop using energy as a political tool, and focus on important issues, like helping the Romas in Kosovo live like human beings. Serbs don't need Albanian interference in the north, they are doing quite well without them.

Maybe KEK should tell us how the contract for the new power station is going, when it will be built and how the refurbishment of the other two is also going?

Oh, it turns out that there is no competition because everyone has dropped out.

Now why would that be?

Funny that, EPS provides a reliable service for which people are willing to pay, something KEK is unable and incapable of doing so yet they still expect serbs to obey the strange and parallel world of kosovo albanian economics.

The kosovo albanian authorites boast of a big budget surplus (very nice as long as you still get free money from the EU and US), but they can't get a powerplant built. Could it be that sharing the money out between the 'right' clans is more important that bringing power and other such 'boring' stuff? You vote for criminals, that is what you get.

This is the company that cuts off the power to Serbs who don't pay to them. Now they want Serbs not to pay to their competitor?

Might I recommend this book for their executives?

Man the KEK should grow up then start and behave like a investor within Kosovo, and not a charity, them Serbs have been getting free rides for years, yet, the Kosovo,s goverment still did not learn, CUT THEIR SUPPLY, u lot,,leave em in dark, and send a bill to Belgrade for what serbs owns to the KEK. simple as that. then i promise you, these plp will pay always in time... cut their electr off, and anyone who doesnt pay take em in court, trust me they,ll have no choice, enough of being nice towards serbs,, get real with them...

Sounds like sour grapes...

EPS supplies near 24-hour coverage at a decent rate. However, there are still massive power cuts all around KEK areas with protests occurring weekly by Albanians not satisfied with the service.

I guess KEK hates competition.
