Come tomorrow, I'm afraid that the citizens of Serbia will be very disappointed. Serbia has not fulfilled all its obligations, including delivery to the Hague. It is clear that Tadic knows this is and is trying to break this news gently to the Serbian public.

There will be no disappointment. This is genuine; the Visas are as good as there. If they played that sort of game and knocked back the visas then the Serbian people would through the whole EU business out the door and that’s not what the EU wants by any stretch of the imagination. Boris Tadic would suffer a blow he could not recover from. This would play into the ultranationalist hands. The EU has enough problems in the Balkans without starting more.

No-one in the Balkans should need a visa for the EU. Europe for Europeans!
This is the beautiful continent we all share and love. No more restrictions for fellow Europeans I say!
