K. Albanians "seek help persuading Serbs"

Here's a no-brainer:

Since the K Serbs are considered citizens of Kosovo, how about those flunky leaders in Pristina, of whom the K-Serbs are their alleged consituents, actually GO to the Serb municipalities and talk to them. You know, those municipalities Hash and Sejdiu keep saying are part of an indivisible Kosovo? Go to KM, go to Gracanica, go to Strpce, go to Leposavic. Why do they constantly need other people to do their own work for them? Please tell me again how Kosovo functions as an independent state?

I agree with dean. Kosovo Serbs should not participate in any elections arranged by the separatists in Priština. That would be an indirect recognition.

Taking part in any election organised by "illegal institutions in Pristina" and from the side of Kosovo Serbs is not an issue at all as per decision and recommendation of Belgrade Goverment.

Or in the another words, Kosovo Serbs are not dealing with the illegal institutions of one illegal Nato puppet state in Balkans.

I don't think it's harmful to Belgrade for Serbs in Kosovo to have better ties with Albanians. Afterall 90% of the people who live there are Albanians.

However, I think before we start talking about Serbs being involved in an election we do a little task analysis.

1. Serbs south of the Ibar are isolated and under constant threat. They constantly need armed guards to do the simplest of things most people take for granted. This hardly demonstrates any foundation for democratic institutions in Kosovo that would warrant an election.
2. There is very little economic or educational opportunity available to them. Most Serbs do not have a viable local outlet for their produce, and have no chance of getting jobs.
3. The Kosovo-Albanian leadership in power is led by a guy named snake who along with his army of thugs ran an organization with the sole purpose of terrorizing Serbs and other minorities. This doesn't exactly give any minorities confidence in the electoral process.

Take care of these things and I'm sure Serbs and Albanians will get along much better.

Serbs in KOSMET should not participate in any k-alb election since their are not recognized by BG.

Try but know that many will not vote. probably half of Serbs (or 2% of pop in Kosova) might not participate. Not the end of the world.

This farce of a "state" called Kosovo will continue untill Albanians realize that they cannot behave unilateraly and completely ignore the "Serbian" problem. The sooner we sit down and divide the land the sooner the peace will come. Otherwise you shall have one really pissed off neighbour who will always plot your downfall.

I'm confused. I couldn't find the statement by Hajredin Kuci in today's online Koha Ditore, so maybe there's something I've overlooked. But a few days ago the papers were reporting that 40 parties had registered: "Of these 40 parties, 19 are Kosovo Albanian, 6 are Kosovo Serb, 7 are Kosovo Bosniaks, 1 is Kosovo Turk, 1 is Kosovo Gorani, 1 is Kosovo Egyptian, 1 is Kosovo Roma, 2 are Kosovo Ashkali parties, 1 is Kosovo Montenegrin party, and 1 is independent candidate for Obilic Municipality," Mavriqi said."

"At least two Serbian political entities" were registered to run in Gracanica - so have some of these groups withdrawn?

kosovo has only one obligation/to make it possible for serbs to take part in these voting.If serbs do not want to vote it is their right and albanians have nothing to do with this!
why not take in account the 52pc of albanians that do not vote too for what they disagree(decentralisation!)

I know we Serbs can be a pain. But you have a basket case of a region masquerading as a country, your constitution calls for a foreign occupying force, a European Viceroy, a foreign run justice system, something called conditional independence, a non ratified Ahtisari plan, all that you tried to unilaterally impose outside the international recognized legal framework know as Resolution 1244. So stop this madness, go back to the negotiating table and in good faith with compromise and reconciliation negotiate a good final settlement for all residents of Kosovo. Then we can all enter the EU on equal footing not mired in antiquated 19th century nationalism but in a modern 21st century democracy where all citizens of Serbia and Kosovo can exercise their right to self determination through whatever political process is negotiated.
