Hmm... blatant, run-away racist hate speech? this all sounds terribly familiar.

this is indeed the kind of mentality that keeps the balkans in limbo. there are people in western europe who are equally racist towards immigrants, but there is also strong opposition to them and being a citizen of a country makes you, well, a citizen of that country. sarkozy's hungarian origin is not a problem that he is elected president by right-wing voters in france.
but then in the balkans the only answer people in the balkans have to discrimination is separatism. that hardly ever encourages support in the majority group.
i quite accidently started posting under the name of malcolm x, but now that i think of it he is relevant here. he started as someone who believed in separation of races as a member of the nation of islam. in the end he came to regret it. and now an african american is the president of the usa. meanwhile, the people of the balkans are getting ever more divided and weak. something every separatist should think about.

Don't hold your breath and don't hold your breath that this will be condemned by the many Kostunica loyalists at this site, either.
That is rather sad imo.

Bgannon,
To ease your sadness, as a supporter of The DSS/NSS let me be the first to condemn hate speech, not because it is embarrassing but because it is wrong and leads Serbia into evil.
Mr. Illic's comments of yesterday smell very fishy to me, but it has not been determined beyond a reasonable doubt or even on a balance of probabilities that a crime has been committed.
Jumping to conclusions based on assumptions as to what Mr. Illic meant are wild speculations and are not in keeping with natural justice.
These bald faced assumptions may be also tortuous and they only serve to draw attention away from a failed government who's members have regularly participated in similarly stinky statements.
The worst case scenario is that Mr. Illic is no better than the members of this government

It's strange that everything negative of Serbia, somehow it becomes the fault of Albanians??? Go figure! Let me remind you what the issue is here: A member of Serbian parlament made a racit speech and it should be condement from all sides. Only Serbia is right and everyone else is wrong? GO figure this one out as well...

Serbia is not only a country of Serbs, but of Bosniaks, Hungarians, Slovaks and all other communities that build, protect and love Serbia,” Pajtić said.
I wonder what happened to Albanians in eastern Kosovo or so called sothern Serbia. They are not even mentioned.
This tells you everything where Albanians stand within proper Serbia.
(The TRUTH, 13 February 2009 12:19)
They obviously fall under "other communities", although I wonder what percentage of albanians that can be said to "build, protect and love Serbia".

I don't know much about Ilic but I wouldn't believe everything being written by B92 as they favour the DS. It could have easily been taken out of context and then amplified.
The Troof, we are talking about people who build, protect and love Serbia. I'm sure there are some Albanians out there who fall into this category but lets be realistic for a second - most Albanians only love themselves and based on recent history (not only in Serbia) they seem to be more interested in destruction than building. Even your comment about "Easter Kosovo" implying further land grabbing is not really about building and progress towards others, now is it?

'I wonder what happened to Albanians in eastern Kosovo or so called sothern Serbia. They are not even mentioned.

Let's analyze this statement from someone who ironically calls themselves 'truth'.
Albanians in Kosovo had more rights than almost any other minority in the world. You controlled the police, had your own language and university, the border was pretty much open and hundreds of thousands of albanians flooded into Kosovo from albania, illegally, and took up residence. They came for a better life, and got one. Serbia gave you roads, schools, infrastructure, a higher standard of living than you have anywhwere else in the Balkans. And what did you albanians do as a sign of your greatfulness? You ethnically cleansed Serbs from their ancestral homeland, not just in the last few years, but ever since Tito came to power, that is what you have been doing (and before that in fact). You never ever wanted to integrate into society, you have always been separatists and ingrates, and have resorted to terrorism. In the 1980's it was so bad, when your albanian police would beat Serbs on a whim, and that is what brought Milosevic to power. And you burnt down 150 Serbian churches, and turned over God knows how many gravestones, to try to erase the truth about Serbia's heritage in Kosovo.
Us Serbs have long memories and we will not forget what you have done, and how you continue to treat Serbs in Kosovo today. You may feel brave now, hiding behind NATO and sticking your tongue out at the Serbs like a spoiled little child, but the day of reckoning will come. NATO will not be there forever, but I guarantee you that Serbs will.
That, my albanian 'friend' is the truth!! The truth, as always, is on the Serbs' side, despite your well paid lies and propoganda.
Cheers!!
