"Take Montenegro, for example. It decided to recognize Kosovo at the worst possible moment for us, when recognition constituted the most fundamental undermining of our diplomatic strategy to continue peacefully defending our sovereignty and territorial integrity. It came one day after the vote in the General Assembly that relegated the status issue to the judicial arena."

So, basically, Mr. Jeremic, you are saying that if they would have done it before or even some days after the voting, it wouldn't have been a problem, right?

A good start of facing the real events happening on the ground, Mr. Jeremic!

I agree and applaud most of what Jeremic is saying....and politically he is saying the right things. However, the one major problem that he seems not to be facing head on is the linkage problem with EU acension and keeping Kosovo. There is no possible way that these two problems cannot be linked. By saying that there is no linkage between the two policies, you are either trying to deny logic, or trying to pull the wool over the eyes of everyone. The EU is ABSOLUTELY NOT going to let Srbija join the EU without Srbija first recognizing Kosovo. The EU hopes that in 5-10 years, Srbija's resolve in trying to keep Kosovo will weaken... and the EU will, in the meantime, certainly increase pressure on other countries in the 5-10 years to recognize the UDI- again making it impossible for Srbija to keep Kosovo. It's the EU's game plan! Today's "tough words" are fine....however the "big boys" in the EU aren't going to accept Srbija WITH Kosovo- period! So Jeremic (Tadic and Co.) needs to be more realistic about this "linkage issue" and tackle it today- before Kosovo is lost!

200+ flights but none leading to Pristina.

Under his logic, Serbia will join EU without Kosovo --- isn't this a direct violation of the Serbian constitution of "territorial integrity"?

"Today, the solutions to regional peace and stability are found in Belgrade, or with the help of Belgrade"

The very first time to hear that he admits that the source of balkan problems is Belgarde.
Good start Jeremic.
