As I see, you are using this nickname to imply you are Greek again. How can you expect people to believe you, when you are not even saying your real (Slav) name, or just expose freely your nationality, and pretend you are Greek???

Answers to the lies:

1) There is no specific number of countries than can allow recognition of the UN. This is lie. In order to be reckognised, you have to pass from the security council first, (where France is also a member...) take the "green light", and then apply this to the UN for recognision. You understand that with France and England, this could never happen...

2) Even if 250 countries recognise you, if Greece does not, you will NEVER be a member of any international organization! What happened after all these countries recognised you with your constitutional name??? Now you will change it anyway!!! :)

3) The Greek embassador to FYROM, was fired because she spoke about easing the pressure to your fake country, and NOT because she spoke about needless policy of Greece, relating to the name dispute.

The lies you say about "rumors that her life is at stake, and she flew to other country" is one more of your lies that you can say so easily, as you claim yourself "yanni"!!

You imagine things from your mind, they sound good and you just say it! For your information she still lives in Athens, and she works as a diplomat...

"With a few more countries to recognise Macedonia, they will then be able to apply to UN to have the matter overturned."
The issue cant be overturned actually, in the way you put it. Fyrom could put the issue on voting anytime they want. It is not an issue of how many have recognised the country by a name, but how many will vote for its assession, and that should be the 2/3rds of the present and voting. But also, whatever decision is taken, it is not binding for its members. So in short, the fyromians dont need 128 countries to recognise them so they enter UN with whatever name they like, they only need their votes, but even if they do take them, Greece still keeps her right for vetoing in every organisation feels like doing so.

"She was immediately called back to Athens and dismissed from political life. Rumour is she and her family have fled the country in hidding fearing her life from nationalists and govt special forces."
Actually she is in big nice office with view to the National garden in the middle of Athens. Much better than mine, if i may add so :)

@5 Peter
"then everyone lived under one authority and all this nonsense about land, religion and heritage made no difference"
So according to you, if you hide something under the carpet, then it just doesnt exist? And thats a solution? Great thinking :)

@6 Ermal
"On the other side, I don't think greeks are serious on this issue."
We are dead serious actually. Since Greeks have died to liberate Makedonia, then it is more than serious for us.

On our issue now.
I think that Nimetz is not that intersted in a solution. He is only coming here and to fyrom just because he likes sightseeing. There are some beautyful areas in both countries and Nimetz takes advantage of the free tickets, food and accomodation to exlore as much as he can before he is kicked out of his office.
Because if it isnt that, then he is an idiot. It is obvious that he cannot propose any kind of solution acceptable from both parties, so my best guess is tourism.

FYROM should take whatever proposal and like it. Given their nationalist agenda, in printing maps with Greek land as their own, claiming Saloniki is "occupied Aegean Macedonia"... Enough is enough, they should call themselves, Bulgar-Titoland.

Reading some of the skopjans propoganda and lies is not even funny anymore.

It is undeniable that these people have shown a great spirit of resistance.
Hats off!
The only thing I wonder about si if they will keep on with their stance or after all will give up.
I hope they won't give up so that I can't withdraw my words of respect.

On the other side, I don't think greeks are serious on this issue. To my all of this seems just "love bugs" between greece and fyrom.

Sometimes I wonder if it would not have been better for the Balkans to have remained under Ottoman or Soviet rule. At least then everyone lived under one authority and all this nonsense about land, religion and heritage made no difference in anyone's lives.

you are right with some regards Leonidas,

It is a waste of time. With a few more countries to recognise Macedonia, they will then be able to apply to UN to have the matter overturned. I thought that number was 130 countries, as they currently have 124 countries. Ireland is about to formalise there recognition and Australia is currently discussing in parliament. So I guess there's a pending loser to the disagreement.
May I refer you to the ambassedor of Greece to Macedonia Dora K...oulous comments in July 07 "whats the point.... since the rest of the world already recognises her". She was immediately called back to Athens and dismissed from political life.
Rumour is she and her family have fled the country in hidding fearing her life from nationalists and govt special forces.

Nimetz is wasting his time shutling from Athens to skopje because the Fyromians entered these negotiations for PR purposes only.
None of these names or any other name will be accepted by Gruevski.Although he is a man with limited abilities,he does believe that his destiny lies with history.His acceptance of any name other than the constitutinal name will demolish his claims for ethnicity,language and history which was created by the post war II communist establishment.After all he comes from a family of die-hard communists from where he gets all the attributes.
In conclusion,I think he will try to ride his luck on the nationalistic ticket and get more recognitions under the constitutional name and then he will present
them to UN as fait accompli.
I an not certain,though,that he has got suffient time to
accomplish all these and whether his impoverished country could remain outside the main western institutions for very long
