Serbia should be part of EU, but with Kosovo and Metohija... "Kosova" will never become regular country unless recognized by Serbia.

What we see is that Kosovo has been stolen from us and there is no way that we won't get it back.

Lets be clear, Kosovo is populated by 90% Albanians and Serbia has no intention to rule them. That's why Serbia offered them self rule but only within the borders of Serbia under a system that offered more than autonomy but less than independence.

This is more than they have now as they are ruled by the US and NATO under an illegal puppet entity.

This talk about getting Kosovo back is nonsense as Kosovo is and always will remain Serbia no matter what the US and about 30 other servants think. Serbia will never give up its province and that is the reality. Get used to it.

Furthermore I just don't understand why Serbian people are still under the illusion that they will retain Kosova under their rule. In my opinion Kosova is a lost cause for the Serbs, and around 80% of Serbian people know this fact. Every day a new country recognizes Kosova as a new country, that clearly shows that Kosova will be recognized by the majority of countries in a very short amount of time.
But granted no Serbian politician in the right mind will say that Kosova is lost, because if they do they will be portrayed as traitors and will not win any votes on May 11th. Its better to say the west overwhelmed us and they took Kosova by force, but we will continue our "fight" and will not rest. Come on get real!
As far as the extradition of Serbs in the Hague Tribunal is concerned, the Serbian government should sent those people like Mladic to Hague. If the guy is innocent he will be released just as Haradinaj was. If Serbia is so sure that their generals are innocent why not send them to Hague? But that's the catch, they are not innocent and that will look very bad for Serbia and the majority of the world will turn its back to Serbia for withholding such criminals. That is my opinion on this issue.

At the same time, 71.3 percent say it is unacceptable that the possible admission to the EU is conditioned with Serbia's recognition of the province's secession.

So Kosova is getting accepted amongst fellow Belgradians. Last time it was 75.2% now 71%. Last time they were polled was in January? Oh let's see what they think by next April.

If Serbia wants Kosovo it needs to have people there to swell the Serbian population, and it needs to run the place according to its laws.

This is not just a matter of argument it is a matter of pragmatics. Opinion must not just be a matter of desire - it must also be backed up with a plan and with action.

at the moment it looks rather like that: Serbia neither has Kosovo nor it is member of the EU. both essential questions were not solved in time and substance, negotions were driven in a dead end and finally initiative was given completely out of hands.

To the person who said that Serbia is offering Kosovo more than an autonomy but within the Serbian border. Now lets see this from the Albanians prospective.
1. Did Milosevic remove the 1974 autonomy from Albanians? YES.
2. Is at least half of Serbia as radical as Milosevic today since they favor SRS in the elections? YES.
3. So why would albanians trust any Serbian offering of "Self rule" or autonomy since the radical serbians were the ones who took it away to start with?
All of you serbs, you brought this upon yourself's and unfortunately many of you approve the removal of Kosovo's autonomy of 1974 since half of you are going to be voting the SRS and Mr Kostunica. Sorry but Kosovo is on the hands of Albanians now, thanks to Slobodan Milosevic.

Now why would the poll exclude Kosovo, if the elections will include Kosovo? Was there any "post-processing" involved as well?

Its sad to hear that people still believe that Kosovo is not Independent, and the worst part is that most Serbs trashing the EU or US live outside their Precious Country Serbia (hint! hint! have respect for the country thats letting you have a new life!!!). If Serbs really feel that they have been stabbed in the back by EU or US, I hate to say this but why dont yA'll go back to your Precious country (Serbia) since is such a nice place to live in!! maybe you will wake up and see that people living there do need to be a memeber of EU so their lives will improve, and to be honest you have to give something up to get something its just life!!!

If Serbia doesn't wish to rule Kosovo, why does it wish to keep Kosovo within Serbia? Is it because in the future any consessions given to the K Albanians now, can be taken away, much as Milosevic did in 1990?

More than autonomy, less than independence, means less than independence, don't be fooled. Their is nothing in between autonomy and independence, this is just a Serbian slogan to trick the K Albanians.
