Croatia a possible member of NATO? - This contry continue contribute to the destabilization of the situation in the Balkans. Croatia STILL has not solved the problems of refugees, property rights for Crotian Serbs and reimbursement for the residence rights to socially owned appartments the country stripped Serbs of during the conflict. How can such a country be considered a possible member of the organization that believe it needs to be present in the Balkans to secure stability?

All Serbs need to move north of the Ibar and NATO Greek and Romanian Special Forces backed by the Serb Army stationed in northern Kosovo to protect the people from what are sure to be upcoming attacks by the KLA once their frustration boils over into violence and their self declared UDI means nothing.

Jovan:
"if you are prepared, and have got reserves...wyh do you fear the Albanians and their threats?"

Jovan the message is for Serbia [in the light of the articele of NY Times, and many other] you don't need to be a rocket scientist to catch this.

"Let nobody be under the illusion that he could get his way by violent means," he said."

- who is this "nobody" and what threats has "he" made that "he" might be "under illusion that he could get his way by violent means"

Clearly all Serbian political leadership even Nikolic have ruled out any military action - given Serbia's position and sovereignity is protected by international law one wonders who "nobody" is ?

NATO had a clear role in Kosovo, "to protect minorities and majorities alike."

-The accentuation is on had and not have. They had good intention but failed.

If the previous attacks on minorities are called protection by the NATO then I really don't know what does the protection really mean?

Please how NATO protects minorities, by being involved in thier massacre and deportation? NATO failed in Bosnia, NATO failed in Croatia and NATO failed in Kosovo, NATO fails everywhere to protect minorities in order to avoid clash with majority. They do that because they are cowards.

The question is not IF nato is capable of handling KLA violence, they certainly are but do they really WANT to?

That would have to mean that they have to face the KLA and their thugs in the Kosovo police. That could easy create a hostile situation between the KLA leadership and NATO.

I am scared that its much easier for Nato to just allow the KLA to etnicly cleanse the few remaing serbs in Kosovo.

If they do this its a real shame for the Nato and Eu

""The situation [in Kosovo] is volatile now ... If necessary, reserves are ready. Let nobody be under the illusion that he could get his way by violent means," he said.
"

I wonder why the western states are supporting the albanian extremists with the stupid "argument" if there is no change it could lead do destabilization.

so, if you are prepared, and have got reserves...wyh do you fear the Albanians and their threats?

Mr.Scheffer Serbia is very good prepared for all eventualities, and as mentioned before a russian fleet is on the way to the mediterranean sea.

there won´t be any violence unless there is no reason for it. it´s that simple.

just ask Mr.Rogozin, he will explain it to you...

What a strong message for trouble makers, starting form Gorazdec to 2004 events.
