Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Tomislav Nikolic says that as far as he is concerned there will be no coalition between SNS and the Democratic Party (DS) "We will form a list together with New Serbia (NS), Power of Serbia Movement (PSS) and Socialist Movement. I am ready to offer the post of interior minister to the Hungarians (Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians)," Nikolic told daily Vecernje novosti. Opposition leader: No SNS-DS coalition "I would also like to tell (Rasim) Ljajic and (Sulejman) Ugljanin that there is a place for them in our government. Of course, the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) is also a partner and should be with us," he was quoted as saying. Asked if there would be any pre-election coalition with DSS, he said that "it is good that that we have stopped attacking each other, but we have not discussed that possibility yet." "Our goal is that DS be no longer in power," the SNS leader underlined. As for the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS), Nikolic said that they could cooperate with the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) if they wanted to. “But I am certain they would be better off with us,” he added. When asked whether SNS would offer the post of prime minister to SPS leader Ivica Dacic in case the SNS was only missing that party to set up the new government, Nikolic answered negatively. "But here is my fair offer. If he thinks he is capable of being a prime minister in our government, he can change the party and move into SNS," he concluded. Tomislav Nikolic (Beta, file)
