Serbia's Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic visited Huawei, one of the world's largest telecommunication companies, in Shanghai on Monday. He met with the company's management, who expressed interest in investing in Serbia, said reports from China. PM meets with Huawei management Huawei recorded almost USD 22bn in revenue last year, with 45 out of the 50 largest telecommunication companies in the world using their services. Cvetkovic offered various incentives for Huawei investors if they chose to invest in Serbia. Huawei already cooperates with Telekom Srbija and Telenor, and it is planning to invest in the 4G network in the country. The company currently has 60 employees in Serbia. According to Huawei management, 50 percent of the profit goes to research and development. The company has 17 development centres around the world. Huawei managers also invited 15 Serbian students of telecommunications to visit China and the company, as a part of a summer camp. The visit to Huawei concluded Cvetkovic's visit to China, which lasted several days and included meetings with China's Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and Chariman of the National People's Congress Wu Bangguo. The Serbian prime minister also visited the Serbian Pavillion at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai and opened the Serbian Pavilion Day ceremonies, and headed for South Korea.
