Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic are in Zajecar, eastern Serbia, assessing damages caused by recent flooding. The government passed a decision to allocate immediate aid of RSD 77mn to the cities and municipalities in which the floods cause the most damage. The MUP Emergency Situations Sector, however, is afraid that there will be more precipitation and flooding because of the increase in air temperature, even though the water has subsided. Authorities have yet to give estimates on how much material damage was incurred by the flooding. The government set aside RSD 8mn each for Aleksinac, Pozega and Knjazevac, RSD 6mn for Negotin, RSD 4mn for Svrljig and RSD 3mn for Boljevac. The municipalities of Merosina, Doljevac, Koceljeva, Ub, Lajkovac, Ljig, Vladimirci, Zitoradja, Priboj and Prijepolje will reach receive RSD 2mn in aid.
