Parliament's Finance Committee met in Belgrade on Monday, and dismissed chairwoman Jorgovanka Tabakovic, SNS. This comes after Serb Progressive Party (SNS) leader Tomislav Nikolic himself was last week dismissed as chairman of the Administrative Committee. Finance Committee sacks chairwoman Zoran Krasic, SRS, has been appointed the new head of this parliamentary body. The request to sack Tabakovic came from six committee members from the ranks of the ruling coalition, it was announced. The initiative to remove all SNS MPs from their positions held in various parliamentary committees comes from the Serb Radical Party (SRS). The Radicals also want mandates now held by Nikolic and his party to be returned to them. All SNS lawmakers were elected in May on the SRS ticket.
