BELGRADE First Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic says he believes that PM Ivica Dacic did not commit any criminal acts during his meetings with a drug gang member. He added, however, that a final answer to the question would have to be given by competent state institutions. Deputy PM Vucic believes “PM is not guilty“ “I believe that he did no commit a crime but what I believe is not important, this will have to be said by competent institutions,” the first deputy prime minister told Belgrade-based Prva TV. He added that all security services had been ordered by the Organized Crime Prosecution to collect information about the case and that they would then forward it to the prosecutor in charge. When asked why he would not release 130 CDs containing information about the state officials’ meetings and communication with member of runway drug lord Darko Saric’s gang Rodoljub Radulovic, Vucic said that nobody was hiding anything from the public but that procedures were well-known. “Everything has been done in accordance with the procedure, the order was forwarded to the services, they will forward the documents and we will not talk about if (Democratic Party high-ranking official Dragoljub) Micunovic had fish and with whom, but who committed a crime. If we determine that some committed a crime, they will answer before the country’s law,” he said and explained this was the way institutions were built. When asked what his claim that Saric would be arrested was based on, the deputy PM explained that he was convinced that the case would be closed in the first half of the year. Dacic recently admitted he had had meetings with Radulovic in 2008 but that he had not known at the time that he was a criminal. Aleksandar Vucic (Beta, file) Tanjug
