Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic reacted today to the ongoing crisis over electricity cuts to some Serb areas in Kosovo. The Kosovo Albanian government is with this "causing a humanitarian catastrophe and exerting unheard of pressure on the Kosovo Serbs to integrate into a quasi state," he said. Bogdanovic: Pressure on K. Serbs Bogdanovic was speaking before the incidents during a protest in Silovo on Sunday. He said that the government is doing everything to point out to the problem, and that it is asking international institutions to help Kosovo's Serbs. The explanation heard in Pristina – that power to the Serb areas is being cut because of unpaid bills – is just a good excuse, the minister stated. "No one among the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija is opposed to paying their electricity bills, but this problems needs to be solved systemically, in all of Kosovo, and not partially, from one village to another, and on top of that, in those that have compact Serb population," said Bogdanovic.
