134 swine flu infections in Serbia

The Public Health Institute of Serbia Dr. Milan Jovanovic Batut has announced that there is a total of 134 people infected with swine flue in the country. The institute, in cooperation with the Health Ministry and a special working group, monitors the epidemiological situation related to the H1N1 strain of type A flu virus. 134 swine flu infections in Serbia The patients come from Belgrade and 22 other towns and villages in Serbia – 71 are believed to have contracted the disease abroad. The announcement today from Batut adds that the first fatality in Serbia was a woman from the town of Gornji Milakovac near Kraljevo, who, after being treated in the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Kraljevo hospital, died on October 21.
