Former army reservists from Kursumlija that started a hunger strike 4 days ago decided on Saturday to radicalize their protest. The veterans from the southern Serbian municipality, who had been called up to take part in the 1990 war in Kosovo, gathered in the city town hall on September 13 to launch a hunger strike, demanding wages they earned eight years ago while serving in the province. War veterans radicalize protest Yesterday, they decided to take their protest outside the city hall and block the Municipal Court in Kursumlija on Monday. Dejan Milosevic, a former soldier and one of the protest’s organizers, told B92 that the reservists would not allow the court employess to enter the building Monday morning. Kursumlija veterans have received support from former army reservists from neighboring cities of Nis, Prokuplje, Blace, Aleksandrovac and Zitoradja who announced they would join the protest tomorrow.

Yesterday, they decided to take their protest outside the city hall and block the Municipal Court in Kuršumlija on Monday.

Dejan Milošević, a former soldier and one of the protest’s organizers, told B92 that the reservists would not allow the court employess to enter the building Monday morning.

Kuršumlija veterans have received support from former army reservists from neighboring cities of Niš, Prokuplje, Blace, Aleksandrovac and Žitorađa who announced they would join the protest tomorrow.
