Rolling Stones Belgrade gig – stunning spectacle

The spectacle gathered a cheering crowd of some 50,000 people that filled the 150,000 square meter concert space.

The group’s frontman Mick Jagger addressed the crowd on several occasions in Serbian.

“Hello Belgrade! Thank you! We are happy to be here,” he said. He also welcomed all who came from Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia to see their performance.

When he walked along a 65-meter extension of the stage to be closer to his fans, Jagger noted “I am enjoying myself here. What about you?”

The set list for the gig comprised mostly songs from their albums published in the 60s and 70s such as Satisfaction, Midnight Rambler, Jumping Jack Flash, Honky Tonk Women, Sympathy for the Devil, Miss You, and Heartbreaker.

The organization of the event was at its best. No traffic congestion was reported after the concert. The police were present and in force.
