Paraćin urges damage compensation

Radonjić confirmed the reconstruction works were suspended on December 29 and funding halted till the beginning of February 2007 when Paraćin received only 125,000 dinars.

“As many as 150 citizens come to Paraćin municipality authorities on a daily basis demanding damage compensation”, she claimed.

Radonjić added that municipal authorities refrained from advising citizens to file lawsuits against the state, but they would be compelled to do so if the situation remained the same, with no money coming in.

“The Paraćin Municipality will provide the citizens with free legal assistance should they opt to sue”, Radonjić concluded.
