Drašković reacts to Ibarska verdict

In a sentencing yesterday, a court presided by Judge Mišić found members of the Special Operations Unit (JSO) and their leader Milorad Ulemek guilty and convicted  them to 15 years in prison, while former state security (DB) chief Radomir Marković was handed an 8-year prison term.

Drašković told B92 that the Ibarska case verdict clearly illustrated the breakdown of the system of justice and morality in Serbia.  He believes the judge has rewarded the criminals.

Drašković also alleged that Mišić took part in the military operations in Vukovar in 1991, and was trained by Ulemek at the time.

“There’s one thing they forgot, and that is that I am still alive and that the Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) is still alive, so I hope the murderers and the security services hear me now: let them finish at last what they started in Budva and Ibarska, because I will never rest until they face justice, either in this country or internationally, for as long as I live”, Drašković told B92 TV in an emotional reaction to yesterday’s sentencing.
