The head of the Serb National Council in Croatia says Croatian President Ivo Josipović and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić should meet as soon as possible.

ZAGREB The head of the Serb National Council in Croatia says Croatian President Ivo Josipovic and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic should meet as soon as possible. They both should invest maximum efforts so as to organize the meeting as soon as possible and leave behind all that needs to be left behind, Milorad Pupovac told Croatia's state broadcaster HRT. "Josipovic and Nikolic should meet soon" Regardless of their biographies, both personal and political, the two presidents were appointed by democratic means, Pupovac said and explained that he maintained good political relations with former Serbian President Boris Tadic due to his regional and pro-European policy, which was in the best interest of all regional countries. Pupovac said that Nikolic did many positive things for Serbia's political scene because he helped it normalize, set up a strong party and won the position as the head of the country. The fact that we did not attend the meetings which the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) organized within its election campaign does not entail that we do not appreciate the positive things SNS and President Nikolic brought to Serbia, Pupovac said.
