Croatian President Ivo Josipovic says that during his term of office, a lot improvement had been made in the relations with the countries in the region. “I think that the relations with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia have been significantly improved, while our cooperation with Montenegro has been on a very high level for some time now,” Josipovic said. "Relations with regional countries improved" In a live broadcast by Sarajevo-based TV1, he noted that Croatia had a lot less open issues with Montenegro than with Serbia and Bosina What is important is the general political climate, and not the individuals who oppose such a cooperation, he added. “It is evident the atmosphere and the readiness to work on the solutions is better now. As far as Serbia is concerned, I want to say that I often meet with President (Boris) Tadic and that we will continue to talk. We do not discuss Bosnia, except for our general support to its European development. We talk about all countries, including Bosnia,” Jopsipovic underlined. "President Tadic and I talk about serious problems that exist between Croatia and Serbia," he added. “The activities between our two countries have reached a very high level for the first time now, and when I say this I am not referring only to the relations of the presidents, but also of the prime ministers. (Croatian) Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor and (Serbian) Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic have also intensified, through working groups, the work on a number of issues and first concrete results can already been seen, regardless of some problems that still exist, like the one concerning Tihomir Puda,” Josipovic said.
