A Russian nuclear power plant construction company will build and deliver essential equipment for a nuclear power plant in Bulgaria. RIA Novosti news agency quoted Atomstroyexport statement that said the company would build a reactor frame, vapor generator, turbine and power generator for the Belene NPP. Russia secures Bulgarian nuclear plant job Atomstroyexport, Russia's state nuclear power equipment and service export monopoly, won the tender in 2005 for the Belene contract, worth around EUR 4bn. The French-German consortium Areva-Siemens is also involved in the project.
