Former ministers reveal their plans for future

"Since I reached an agreement with the prime minister a while ago on what exactly I would be doing, I will get my new function in ten days' time. We agreed on everything, but we did not agree that I should be talking until all this is over," he said.

Kori Udovicki, the minister of state administration and local-self government, who was in charge of reducing the number of public sector employees, also did not receive a passing grade.

"I will dedicate the coming period to considering everything that I learned in the last two years, and how to best work for Serbia going forward," said Udovicki.

Agriculture Minister Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic will also not be a member of the new cabinet of Aleksandar Vucic.

"I will continue to work as a full time professor at the Faculty of Agronomy in Cacak. I will also serve as a people's deputy in the National Assembly," she revealed.

Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic said previously that "it would not be the end of the world" if he were to be left out of the new cabinet. Now that this has happened, he said:

"The most beautiful and the most honorable thing possible is to work for one's fatherland, and I had a chance to do that in these past four years."

Media are speculating that Selakovic might be appointed as the new head of Serbia's Security-Information Agency (BIA), while others see him as the next mayor of Belgrade.

Ivan Tasovac (culture and information), Zeljko Sertic (economy), and Srdjan Verbic (education) will also no longer serve as ministers.

Their replacements are Goran Knezevic (economy), Branislav Nedimovic (agriculture), Nela Kuburovic (justice), Ana Brnabic (state administration), Mladen Sarcevic (education), and Vladan Vukosavljevic (culture and information).
