Chinese leader enjoyed "magnificent hospitality" in Serbia

The ambassador also "conveyed the deep gratitude of the Chinese president and his wife for the excellent welcome and magnificent hospitality they were extended during the visit to Serbia," the presidential press office said in a statement carried by Tanjug.

Nikolic and Li "agreed that projects related to the Smederevo steel mill and construction of the rail line from Belgrade to Budapest are an absolute priority."

Also, since more Chinese companies expressed interest in investing in Serbia just days after the visit, attention must be devoted to new joint projects to ensure more investments in the Serbian economy, they said.

Nikolic and Li "discussed possibilities for Chinese investments in the Serbian defence industry and the agriculture and processing industry."
