This came only two months after the failed attempt to join UNESCO, when Pristina did not secure the support of all the countries that recognized its unilaterally declared independence.
The newspaper pointed out that Kosovo is also yet to apply for Council of Europe membership, and concludes that the government is "in fact trying to hide its failures" which, according to analysts and the opposition, "cost the country dearly."
The application for membership in the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) was signed by Deputy PM and FM Hashim Thaci and handed over in a ceremony at the Dutch Foreign Ministry, noted the report.
