Ruling SNS to hold "electoral convention"
The Serb Progressives (SNS) will hold an electoral assembly to choose the party's president and top party bodies and adopt a new platform for its future work.

BELGRADE The Serb Progressives (SNS) will hold an electoral assembly to choose the party's president and top party bodies and adopt a new platform for its future work. The convention will be held on January 25, the SNS presidency has decided. Ruling SNS to hold "electoral convention" SNS leader Aleksandar Vucic said that the decision to hold the electoral convention was made unanimously, adding that more than 3,000 delegates will be deciding on the new president. Vucic said that that he was "certain that there are those who wish that someone else is running the SNS." He said that the electoral convention was called to look at his and others' legitimacy. The SNS presidency also decided to dismiss a number of directors of public enterprises at the national level, and a number of mayors and municipal presidents who the party believes achieved poor results. The SNS decided to pull out of local governments where it is not satisfied with the work of the local authorities. Vucic told a press conference that more than five directors in public enterprises and even more local government leaders will be dismissed from office. Vucic said that this does not mean that the directors of public enterprises have been involved in criminal activity, but rather that the party is not satisfied with their achievements.
